Conquest Of Elysium 3 Tbs Eng Wah Movies![]() Well I bought the game for me and my cousin. I followed what I read on how to play MP. I made a shortcut (COE3 Server), open it up make a map, then I alt/tab out to start another instance of the game and join the game using 127.0.0.1 and i enter the game server that is on my computer. My cousin is entering my IP address that I got at and he tries to enter the server using that ip and port 7272. He gets an error message. I have turned off my firewall. Any ideas to help us connect. This is a fun little game in single player but we really want to play the MP version. Appreciate any help that we get. The solution suggested by Wa – pretending there is no Internet at all between you and your cousin, through use of a LAN emulator – may well get around your problem. (I have never tried Tunngle myself as it seems to be Windows only.) Otherwise, I believe the point Celestial was trying to make is you can check for yourself whether connection via the Internet works at all (the address you got at instead of 127.0.0.1) before involving anybody else. As for how to get it to work over the Internet without LAN emulators, I am with graalGGTV. My guess too would be that port 7272 isn't open. You can check this, while CoE3 server is running, via a web site like this one: Routers typically only open a few standard ports per default, used by common Internet applications (E.g. Port 80, used by HTTP, i.e. Web browsers, and a few others). Any other port is closed until you expressly tell the router to open it. If you can't find it in your router manual, google for 'port forwarding' or just 'open port' together with your brand and model of router. (If nothing else, this generic guide seems to be a decent one: ) Good luck with getting it to work either way. Edit: CoE3 game server must be running when checking port openness. Originally posted by:I hope the author will eventually streamline the multiplayer bit, because this is waaay to archaic:S While multiplayer isn't the strong point of this game, I must admit I find it a little hard myself to understand why this particular thing with port forwarding should be such an issue. It's not like the need to have a port, dedicated to the game, open between the computers of the participating players is unique to this game (nor to other types of communicating computer programs either). Is it really that hard to make port forwarding work on your router? Conquest Of Elysium 3 Tbs Eng WahooDid you try to find instructions for your particular router model? There are six steps to perform in that guide, or actually just five, since step 4 is an alternative to step 5 (which won't work in this case; i.e. ![]() Conquest Of Elysium 3 Tbs Eng WahaYou need to go with step 5, create a custom entry in your router for this game, i.e. One complication might be, in step 5, to know the IP number of the computer where you're running the game. But many modern routers will offer help by showing you names as well as IP numbers of all your computers connected to your router. (Otherwise there are always ways to find out on the computer itself what IP number it has in your local network.) Admittedly, if you're running a software firewall on your game computer, that too might possibly block the port. But in that case it should be possible to configure the firewall to also open the CoeE3 port. First, turn off any such firewall you have, and configure port forwarding to work on your router. Then turn your firewall back on, and similarly adjust its settings to also allow traffic through the CoE3 port, 7272.
